Robert, the group’s Managing Member, has had a lifelong career in the music industry, starting as a member of the Army band system performing across the United States as a member of numerous Army Bands performing for countless military and civilian ceremonies.  Robert joined Brass 5 shortly after his military career ended in 1989 and has been an intricate part of the development of Brass 5 as an educational and performance ensemble.  His desire to share music was greatly influenced by his parents, who are also musicians.  For the past 25 years, Robert has been the proprietor and operations manager for Mouthpiece Express.com in Roanoke, Virginia where he oversees the designing, customization, manufacturing and marketing of brass instrument mouthpieces and instruments used by some of the finest musicians and organizations all over the world.  Robert has recently taken over management of Brass 5 after the retirement of founder Gerald Pope and will continue to oversee the highest quality programing anywhere.
