French Horn

Emily, originally from Upstate New York, began her musical journey playing trumpet in the fourth grade. Later, as she attended her first semester of college, she found her love, the Horn, and has continued down that musical path.  Emily later graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Composition from Keene State College. Her compositions and arrangements have been played by a variety of amazing artists. Her piano piece, “On Angel’s Wings,” has been performed by Virginia Eskin, an acclaimed pianist and champion of women composers.  Emily has performed alongside a variety of musical groups, from our nation’s US Navy band to the Boston Brass. Recently, she joined Roanoke Symphony musicians to perform “Amahl and the Night Visitors.”  She has performed throughout the New River Valley and Roanoke Valley regions with many of the areas finest musical groups and musicians, including the Summer Musical Enterprise, the Salty Pretzel Band, the Blacksburg Community Band, and the Roanoke Valley Community Band, to name a few.  When she’s not performing, you can probably find her being a mom to her two kids or completing sewing alterations for a local clothing store.
