Jeff is a native of the New River Valley, here in Virginia, and is a graduate of Blacksburg High School. Before earning an associate’s degree in computer engineering from New River Community College, Jeff attended Shenandoah University where he studied trombone.  After returning home, he worked as an IT technician for Montgomery County Public Schools and now works as an IT Specialist for the School of Neuroscience at Virginia Tech. His musical journey began like mos,t in middle school band. Local music has been a driving force in Jeff’s musical journey since first joining his local community band in 2008. He has been a long-standing member of many groups across the New River and Roanoke Valleys including, the Blacksburg Community Band, the Old Pros Big Band, the Summer Musical Enterprise Orchestra, the Sway Katz, the Nobleman Big Band, the Salty Pretzel band, and the BUMC Orchestra. Jeff performs with these groups in the New River and Roanoke Valleys, and travels with Brass5 across the state of Virginia and beyond, performing for various k-12 educational programs, concerts, and civic events.
